El anuncio de la boda del príncipe Harry y Meghan Markle tuvo una repercusión insólita en España debido al parecido razonable de la actriz norteamericana con una política española. En concreto con Begoña Villacís, concejal de Ciudadanos en el ayuntamiento de Madrid.

Tras conocerse el anuncio del compromiso, las redes sociales se llenaron de bromas por la semejanza entre ambas. Comentarios sobre si son hermanas gemelas separadas al nacer o juegos de quién es quién... entre los tuits de los internautas españoles.
